Musique Royale invites you to hear Jackson-Wilson Duo, the featured performers for our upcoming Cookie Concert! Andrew Jackson and Sam Wilson have been exploring the interplay of trombone and guitar over the last several years while honing their musical chemistry as a duo. Their repertoire is expansive from standards, to folk covers, hits from the silver screen and originals. Both are acclaimed musicians and composers in their own right, and they have just finished recording a duo album, which will be released this fall.

Andrew Jackson is an acclaimed trombonist and composer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His versatility and unique sound have made him one of the Maritimes first-call players. He is an artist constantly exploring new sounds and not afraid to blend genres.

Sam Wilson is a two-time ECMA nominated artist for both of her original albums. She is influenced by jazz, improvised music, folk and fingerstyle guitar, which blend together creating her unique style. You can catch her in a range of settings from solo to her jazz quintet.

Saturday, June 4th at 2:00 pm at the Lunenburg School of the Arts,
6 Prince Street. $5 at the door (ages 4 and under free)
