May 29, 2020

Dear Friends,

We were encouraged by yesterday’s announcement by the Government of Nova Scotia that certain businesses can reopen as of June 5. Inasmuch as our School has spacious teaching studios and limited class sizes, we can readily meet the 6 foot social distancing guidelines. Therefore we are excited to announce that we shall commence our Summer courses on June 29 pursuant to our published schedule. In making this announcement we wish to confirm that we shall adhere strictly to the public health directives including the practice of good hand washing, and other hygiene steps.

We know that arts and culture are an important part of the economy of Lunenburg, indeed of Nova Scotia.

Art cannot be contained!

We are grateful that together Nova Scotians continue to confront the COVID-19 virus and with this team effort we shall strive to prevent a second wave. We are grateful for the Provincial authorities whose leadership has made it possible for our reopening.

Next week we will provide details of our reopening. In the meantime we ask for ask for your patience and support.

Stay safe, stay healthy, and see you this summer!

The Honourable Wilfred P. Moore, Q.C., LL.D., Volunteer Chair
