Description: Register today for a lively guided tour through Nova Scotia’s history as seen through the eyes of a fourth-generation architect.

Presenter Bio: Syd Dumaresq, FRAIC is a passionate sailor who supports his habit by practicing architecture in Halifax and Chester. Syd is a fourth generation architect and is delighted that his son Dean now practices with the firm. Syd and Sandy live in Chester and are the proud parents of five children and nine grandchildren. Syd’s other passions are community and history. Syd is Chair of the Friends of Nature, a board member of the Mahone Islands Conservation Association (MICA), a member of the Village of Chester Planning Advisory Committee, and a founding member of the Nova Scotia Association of Architects Legacy Society.

 


 

South Shore Network Lecture Series

The RAIC South Shore Network invites you to attend their 2021-2022 Lecture Series in partnership with the Lunenburg School of the Arts (LSA). Monthly lectures for the fall season will run from September through November and will be held in-person at LSA, COVID-19 restrictions permitting.

Please note: This event is planned to take place in-person and will follow all local and provincial COVID-19 public health and safety guidelines and restrictions. If it is deemed that this event cannot take place in person safely, it will be held virtually online. Contact tracing information will be taken during registration.

Proof of vaccinations (two doses) is required at the door.

The wearing of masks is mandatory upon entry and will be provided to those who need one. Please respect social distancing by leaving two seats between your group and others.
