Last Summer our School had a conversation with friends at the Second Story Women’s Centre about the idea of hosting a fund-raiser to assist the Centre. That led to our School having a “Bowl-A-Rama”, under the guidance of Douglas Bamford, our Programs Director, over the Summer and Fall months, and this spring; volunteers made and decorated ceramic bowls for use in this exciting event. We hope that the community will come out and support the Centre…buy a ticket, pick up a bowl, enjoy soup and fellowship, and take home your Bowl knowing that you’ve helped this wonderful cause.

We are grateful for the support of the Salt Shaker Deli (soup) and Julien’s Bakery (fresh rolls).

Special mention to The Pottery Supply House, of Oakville, Ontario, for donating all the clay and a big shout out to all the artists who gave their time to make and decorate the beautiful bowls.

Second Story Women’s Centre is a women’s centre located at 18 Dufferin St. (in the old train station) in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
