October 29, 2026
Join us on Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 PM for the Opening Reception and Artist Talk for “Fellow Creatures,” our upcoming Exhibition by Michael Peters.
In the exhibition of mixed-media drawing and paintings on paper—Fellow Creatures—Michael reimagines whales, sharks, jellyfish, octopuses and other marine creatures not as simple depictions of nature, but as talismans forged from earth and sea. Part natural myth, part meditation, each creature is both the thing itself and the idea of that thing, in the way folklore has always used animals as vessels for fear, wonder and meaning.
Drawing on folk tales and myths as well as direct observation, Michael invites viewers to look past the surface of “our fellow creatures” to the cycles of life, death and transformation they carry. The work doesn’t have to be precise to be true; it aims to capture the feeling or story left behind.
EXHIBITION: October 29th – November 22nd, 2026. Gallery Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm (by chance or appointment)
