CALL TO CREATE! INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
Lunenburg’s Second Story Women’s Centre and LSA are teaming up in celebration of International Women’s Day with an event and exhibition on March 8th and we want you to be apart of it!
When: Friday March 8th, 7-9pm
Where : Lunenburg School of the Arts, 6 Prince Street
Prior to the event we invite you (everyone is welcome — no need to be an artist) to create a small 6″x6″ canvas expressing “What does International Women’s Day mean to you?”
The canvases will then be displayed during this event on March 8th along with a public exhibition in the Lunenburg School of the Arts Gallery. Blank canvases will be available to take home at SSWC Mondays to Thursdays (18 Dufferin Street) and at our School (call ahead) Mondays to Fridays. Please return your canvas to our School by March 5th.
Our School’s Gallery (151 Montague Street) has an art supply and creation station and we invite you to create your piece on site or take it home. To drop in please call ahead, Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm.
