Admission: $5 at the door, ages 4 and under free

Lunenburg School of the Arts, 6 Prince St, Lunenburg

Musique Royale invites you to our December Cookie Concert featuring “Corbies” on Saturday December 2nd at 2 pm, at the Lunenburg School of the Arts. Originally from Scotland, Eilidh Campbell (fiddler) and Andy Webster (guitar and bouzouki) are long time friends and musical partners, having met while studying music together in Glasgow in the 1990s. After years of touring and recording together, including becoming finalists together in the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, they both found themselves living not far from each other in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Building on over 20 years of musical history, Eilidh and Andy play many tunes and songs from their Scoish heritage while mixing in a large number of their own compositions into finely crafted arrangements. The uniqueness of this duo is evident. When Eilidh and Andy perform together, they express a yearning for their homeland while at the same time, a love of their new home on Canada’s East Coast. Eilidh’s effortless fiddling combined with Andy’s rhythmic and dynamic guitar and bouzouki playing makes for a truly captivating experience. All ages are welcome to join Musique Royale at the Lunenburg School of the Arts on Saturday December 2nd at 2 pm to enjoy this Cookie Concert, and a sweet treat to follow!
