Wednesday to Friday, August 21 – August 23, 2024
10:00am – 4:00pm

In this lively three (3) day workshop we’ll learn how to use a simple wooden punch needle and yarn to create anything from rugs to pillows to stunning wall hangings. Rug hooking has a rich history in Atlantic Canada and using a punch needle is one of the easiest and most satisfying ways to go about it.

We’ll explore the most common backings, frames and types of fibre that can be used so you can find a system that works for you. We’ll start by making a small piece together on the first day and then move on to making a pillow or a wall hanging that each student can design themselves, with as much or as little help from Alison as desired.
