Growing Older at Home
This a a free 3 session workshop, registration is required and includes all 3 sessions.
Call it universal design, accessibility, aging in place, or simply living in place; most Canadian seniors want to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Having a plan gives you the best chance to have a positive life experience as you age.
The Lunenburg School of the Arts in cooperation with the South Shore Chapter of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) will be hosting three (3) Saturday morning participatory workshops to help you consider predesign and planning activities.
If you are a near senior or senior who is thinking about your aging in place environment and would like to learn more about steps you can take to plan and prepare your home and surroundings for your later years, this workshop is for you.
Note: While these participatory workshops are aimed at individuals who wish to age in place the contents may benefit anyone planning to remodel a home for themselves or a loved one.
